DA Hike: THIS state increases dearness allowance to 34% for govt employees

 Increase in dearness allowance of government employees by 3 percent.

Dearness allowance will be paid in three installments from 1 January 2022

Only those who have been given the benefit of the 7th Pay Commission will be eligible.

The Gujarat government has increased the dearness allowance to the state government employees and pensioners by 3 percent.

Due to this, a total of 9.38 lakh people will benefit from the workers and pensioners benefiting from the 7th Pay Commission.






Dearness Allowance payable from 1 January 2022 will be paid in three installments. The difference amount of seven months will be paid in three installments.


This will put a burden of 1400 crores on the state government

In these three installments, the first installment will be given in August 2022, the second installment with September 2022 salary and the third installment with October salary. The state government has informed that this additional benefit will be available only to the employees who have been given the benefit of the seventh pay commission. Due to this increase in dearness allowance, the financial burden of the state government will increase by approximately Rs 1400 crore annually.
